Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 9, 2026

Word Smash is operated by Small Big Brands LLC ("we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the Word Smash mobile app, website, and related services (together, the "Service"), why we collect it, and how we handle it.

1. Information we collect

Account information

If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive account details needed to identify you, such as your email address, display name if provided, and a provider-issued user identifier. We do not receive your Apple or Google password.

Game and learning data

We store gameplay progress, words shown during games, words you miss or review, scores, streaks, settings, language choices, reminder preferences, and related app state. This lets the Service save progress, schedule review, and sync your learning data when account sync is available.

Analytics and technical data

We may collect app events, device type, app version, crash data, timestamps, IP address, request paths, and similar technical logs. We use this information to operate the Service, diagnose bugs, measure feature usage, and protect the Service from abuse.

Purchases

If paid features are offered, purchases are processed by Apple's App Store or Google Play. We receive purchase status and entitlement information, but we do not receive your full payment card details.

Messages you send us

If you contact us, we receive the message content and any contact information you provide so we can respond.

2. Information we do not collect

3. How we use information

4. Service providers

We rely on service providers to run the Service, including Apple and Google for app distribution, sign-in, purchases, and notifications; Google Firebase services for app infrastructure, analytics, and diagnostics; hosting and database providers; and email/support providers. These providers process information only as needed to provide their services to us.

5. Retention

We keep account and learning data while your account exists or while needed to provide the Service. Technical logs are kept for a limited period unless needed for security, abuse prevention, debugging, or legal compliance. Support messages may be kept so we can refer back to prior conversations.

6. Your choices and rights

You can change app settings, notification permissions, and account options in the app or through your device settings. You may request access, deletion, correction, or export of your personal information by contacting us through the Contact page. Users in some locations, including the EU, UK, and California, may have additional rights under local privacy laws.

7. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, or under 16 in the European Union. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including HTTPS and restricted access controls. No service can be guaranteed perfectly secure. If we discover a security incident that requires notice, we will notify affected users as required by law.

9. International use

We operate from the United States. If you use the Service from another country, your information may be processed in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and provide additional notice where appropriate.

11. Contact

Questions or privacy requests can be sent through the Contact page.
